The home where I grew up wasn’t in any way like how it is today. Of course the same rules and procedures were applied, but they were also enforced in a much different way. We all lived happily, but in the same way, safely. In today’s time, it seems impossible to live a life that is both safe and free. Most of us only live a free life. Safety is no longer a concern.
Our Kingdom is ruled by the Glorious Axel and he has reigned for countless years. His daughter and son are the only things he has left besides the Kingdom. I have heard innumerable rumors and theories about King Axel’s past. He is a very reserved type of dog so there is no way this little land in going to hear about his past or present in any case.
There is only one alliance that Axel feels in necessary to have; with the wolves. Their Kingdom is a lot like ours, but in the same way, very different. They have their King and we have ours. But their King rules by public consent; our King rules by heredity. Only the line of rankings are chosen by public consent.
The King is above them all. Then comes the King’s sons and daughters. After them, the soldiers, warriors, and deputies. The soldiers and warriors make up the Kingdom’s milita. They fight for us all with strength, bravery, and honnor. Next comes the deputies. They regulate the rules and procedures throughout the kingdom. And if someone has caused a disturbance, the deputies have the power to lock them up. Execution is later decided. After the deputies in line, come the commoners, nursery/ care takers, and trainees. Commoners only support themselves and their families. Care takers attend to the sick, young, and new mothers. And trainees are in training to become something greater. Something with much more power, respect and dignity. It sucks being at the very bottom of the rankings. That’s right, I’m a trainee. And by the looks of our Kingdom, that’s all I’ll ever be..
If the King has a Queen, she comes right beside him. And she manages the Kingdom alongside her King. But that isn’t the case in this Kingdom…
